At Pacific, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our faculty members on cutting-edge research. Within each of these pharmacy careers, there’s scope for career progression by taking on a managerial role, and/or by pursuing further expertise within a particular field of medicine. All pharmacy careers require pharmacists to continually update their knowledge of the latest research, products, discoveries and regulations; it’s common to undertake additional training courses at fairly regular intervals. If you like the idea of combining your scientific knowledge with legal and business skills, then maybe a career in legal compliance is suitable for you. As a regulatory affairs officer, you will strive to ensure the safety and efficacy of different types of drugs and medical products.

You could also specialize in obesity and weight management, with some universities now offering this as a separate master’s degree. Here you’ll study all aspects of obesity, from the individual level through to the problem in its large-scale social context. You’ll learn about various strategies for weight management interventions, policy formulation and implementation. This specialization could lead to a career in a governmental agency or local authority, public health body, or in the commercial sector developing new products and programs.

U-M Health Specialty Pharmacy offers mail-order distribution of your medication(s). Packages are delivered in unmarked, temperature-controlled shipping containers at no charge. With advance notice, patients may also pick up medications at a U-M Health pharmacy during normal business hours. Our programs span the entire pharmaceutical continuum—from discovery and development to regulation and from translation to patient care and outcomes. This year, the university is celebrating the return of UC Serves – a day for staff and faculty to share the experience of intentional, focused service to the communities surrounding the University of Cincinnati campuses and beyond. The day of service helps connect UC with community neighbors and build stronger connections among university employees. Patient Care Overview

The Board of Pharmacy protects and promotes the health and safety of Californians by pursuing the highest quality of pharmacist’s care and the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals through education, communication, licensing, legislation, regulation, and enforcement. Our expert pharmacists and support staff can answer your questions via chat or phone 6 days a week. Another form of compounding is by mixing different strengths (g, mg, mcg) of capsules or tablets to yield the desired amount of medication indicated by the physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or clinical pharmacist practitioner.

Celebrating 125 Years of Advancing Medicine for Life

Our experienced pharmacists collaborate with patients and healthcare practitioners to provide innovative solutions for health and wellness success. It is our compounding process, attention to detail, and quality of the compounding components that continues to make our formulations exceptional. Armed with a budget of $65 million, the pharmacy dispenses more than 1 million outpatient prescriptions annually for 242,000 beneficiaries. Supporting the Air Force’s global readiness mission, the flight includes 93 trained personnel. Even though the above were small studies, they all demonstrated improved BP control and medication adherence when community pharmacists provided these services. Although these collaborative programs are uncommon in community pharmacies, they are increasing nationwide.
